Items that incur additional charges (May vary by dump site):
Mattress or box spring disposal $40.00 Each Piece
Upholstered Furniture up to $40.00 each
Electronics up to $100.00 each
Small Engines $45.00 each (it is illegal to dump small engines with gas or oil in them.)
Home Appliances $65.00 each (it is illegal to dump appliances with freon or puron in them)
Tires up to $25.00 each
Recycling options
Metro Mosquito Control Will pick up tires for free.
Best Buy Recycles electronics and appliances.
Green Lights Recycling Recycles computers, electronics, fluorescent lamps, ballasts, batteries, mercury, appliances, mattresses, box springs, carpet, and furniture.
Washington County Environmental Center Provides free recycling options for residents of all metro counties.
Don't forget to check with your regular weekly trash hauler. Many contracts include a large item or two per year for free!
You can't mix yard waste with trash or demolition in the dumpsters. If the dumpster only has yard waste in it then we can take it to the yard waste disposal site.
